Alexandra Siegel

Associate Professor at University of Colorado Boulder

Alexandra Siegel, a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford's Immigration Policy Lab and Research Associate at New York University's Social Media and Political Participation Lab (SMaPP), is a rising star in the field of political science. She completed her PhD in Political Science and Government from New York University in 2018, specializing in Middle Eastern politics, social media data analysis, network analysis, and experiments in political behavior. She has also studied Arabic language and literature at the University of Jordan and at Middlebury College's Arabic Summer School. She holds a Bachelors in International Relations and Arabic from Tufts University where she was once an instructor in Arab Media and Popular Culture and a Political Science Research Assistant. Siegel spent time as a Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a Center for Arabic Study Abroad (CASA) Fellow at American University in Cairo, and interned with organizations such as National Security Network and Bairexport.
