Alexandra Settle

Alexandra Settle started her career in tech as a technical writer at Red Hat in 2012 after completing a degree in Creative Writing. Throughout her professional journey, she transitioned from technical writing to various roles like project manager, product owner, and product operations engineer. Currently, she serves as a software engineering manager for the SUSE Enterprise Storage team.

Alexandra has held key leadership positions within the tech industry, being elected twice as the Project Team Lead (PTL) for the OpenStack-manuals project for the Pike and Ussuri releases. She has also made significant contributions as a core contributor to the OpenStack-Ansible project and served as an elected member of the Technical Committee (TC), where she held the vice-chair position for a 6-month term.

In terms of education, Alexandra studied Bachelors in Creative Writing at Qut Faculty Of Education and also pursued Computer Science at Edx. Throughout her career, she has been associated with organizations like SUSE, where she currently holds the position of Engineering Manager. Her previous roles include Product Owner, Software Defined Storage at SUSE, Senior Technical Writer at SUSE, as well as various roles at Rackspace and Red Hat Asia Pacific.
