• Built a fully shippable feature to calculate and leverage the correlation between columns in a database to improve the accuracy of estimating filter selectivities for functionally dependent columns. Designed and implemented the corresponding UI
• Implemented a custom built-in database function to streamline OpenAI API calls for a hackathon project by integrating AI directly into the engine backend and demonstrating use cases such as table completion, data classification, and vector similarity search

Software Engineer Intern

• Built out tooling in the CI/CD pipeline to automatically verify determinism is held with code changes in Temporal workflows, which support the automation of business processes, to give instant feedback to developers and prevent outages
• Leveraged the Temporal open source platform that provides reliable program execution and long-running processes. Contributed to open source feature development and wrote a blog to share the work and progress

Convoy Inc

• Implemented a feature in Go to prevent unsafe and suboptimal matches from being made between rider and driver
• Updated the database schema to store more complete information and improved querying methods
• Used React to reflect the new feature changes in the frontend for customer support agents

Uber

• Created a truth table converter algorithm with complicated Boolean logic simplifiers for customers to transfer data into a new table format for Simulink’s Stateflow
• Used CSS and HTML to auto-format and export the table to web view

• Improved the architecture and efficiency of their neural networks to utilize AI for computational drug discovery
• Implemented multiprocessing tools, interpretability packages, and clustering with Python
• Read papers about state-of-the-art AI practices and delved into chemistry-based understanding of drugs
