Alexandra Golden

Alexandra Golden is a Ph.D. student at the University of Cincinnati, focusing on paleoethnobotany under the supervision of Dr. David Lentz. She has a keen interest in science education and harbors aspirations of becoming a museum educator upon the completion of her degree. Alexandra's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, a High School Diploma in Zoology/Animal Biology from the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics, and currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Botany/Plant Biology at the University of Cincinnati. She has held positions such as Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, Digital Data Entry at the University of South Carolina Herbarium, and roles as a Hollings Scholar at NOAA, an Environmental Intern at Santee Cooper, an Intern at the Museum of York County, a Research Intern at USC Mousseau Lab, and a Summer Camp Counselor at the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics.
