Alexandra Byer

Alexandra Byer is a rising producer and co-founder of the Brooklyn-based production house, RATHAUS. She has produced several critically acclaimed films, including Tim Sutton's "Dark Night," "Sollers Point" from Matt Porterfield, and "Colewell" directed by Tom Quinn, which earned her a nomination for the John Cassavetes Award at the Independent Spirit Awards in 2020. Additionally, Alexandra produced Cedric Cheung-Lau's debut feature, "The Mountains Are a Dream That Call to Me," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020.

Alexandra began her career studying Film & Media Studies and Writing Seminars at The Johns Hopkins University. She co-produced Tim Sutton's "Memphis," which was showcased at the 2013 Venice Film Festival and later screened at Sundance in 2014. She also co-produced "Stand Clear of the Closing Doors," which received a special mention from the jury at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2013.

In addition to her work in film, Alexandra frequently works on commercials and music videos. She is also a former program coordinator at the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP). Her work in film production has taken her to renowned festivals such as Venice, Cannes, and Sundance.
