Alex Rudy

Alexander Rudy is an accomplished data scientist with a robust portfolio of successful business solutions and a scientific methodology that prioritizes understanding phenomenon. With an academic background in physics and astronomy, Alexander has a Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Pomona College.

Alexander has worked for several notable companies, including Bitly, Even.com, and LendUp. In his current position as Head of Data Science at Bitly, Alexander helps businesses turn conversations on the internet into insights that drive value. As a Senior Data Scientist at Even.com, he focused on building models that explained what happened in the real world, and as a Data Scientist at LendUp, he applied machine learning models in personal finance and natural language processing.

Outside of data science, Alexander's engineering experience includes building research-grade hardware and control systems for astronomical instrumentation.
