Alexander Norman, PhD, is a renowned scientist with extensive experience in polymer physics, materials science, and composite materials. He has worked in various roles at ExxonMobil, United Technologies Research Center, and Ingredion Incorporated, where he designed and managed projects on structure-property relationships, advanced characterization methods, and catalyst morphology. He is also an expert in characterization techniques such as SAXS/WAXD, SANS, rheology, and light scattering, among others. Dr. Norman has a wealth of experience supervising students and postdocs, writing proposals and scientific reports, and presenting research findings at international conferences.
In addition to his corporate experience, Dr. Norman also worked as a guest researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and New York University, where he conducted research on the properties of natural resources and composites. Driven by a passion for discovering new materials and understanding their properties, Dr. Norman currently works as an Associate Director of Materials Science at Modern Meadow, a company focused on developing sustainable materials for the fashion and leather industries.
