Alexander Malakhov

Alexander Malakhov is the former Chief Editor of Vedomosti.ru, the website of the Russian business newspaper Vedomosti.145 He was dismissed from this position in 2022 after signing a statement along with several other employees regarding their dismissal.5

Malakhov has a background in computer science, having obtained a Master of Science degree from the Moscow State University of Transport (MIIT) from 1990-1995.2 He later went on to study Software Product Management at Product School in San Francisco in 2016.2

Prior to his role at Vedomosti.ru, Malakhov served as Editor-in-Chief of the Rambler News Service in 2017.3 He is currently based in Mountain View, California and lists his experience as Product Management for B2B SaaS and Consumer experience on his LinkedIn profile.2

Malakhov is suing his former employer, Business News Media JSC (the publisher of Vedomosti), over issues related to disciplinary sanctions and certification results.1 The lawsuits were filed in January 2022 and are ongoing.1
