Alexander Koenig

Alexander Koenig is a Machine Learning Researcher currently working at Merantix Momentum in Berlin, Germany. He was a Visiting Researcher at Harvard University from November 2020 to October 2021, where he completed a research fellowship for his Master's thesis at the Harvard Biorobotics Laboratory.1
During his time at Harvard, Koenig focused on tactile sensing and robotic grasping controllers. His research resulted in two publications:

Koenig's research at Harvard was funded by a full scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service IFI program, a scholarship from the PROMOS program at TU Munich, and funding from the US National Science Foundation (NSF).1
Prior to his time at Harvard, Koenig was also a Visiting Researcher at Imperial College London from April to September 2019, where he worked on gesture-based teleoperated grasping for educational robotics.1
Koenig holds a background in computer vision, self-supervised visual representation learning, and autonomous navigation. He has also published work on unsupervised semantic segmentation while at Merantix Momentum.1
