Alexander Arena

Dr. Alexander Arena is a highly accomplished individual with a diverse educational background.

He obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine from the University of California, Riverside, where he honed his medical skills.

Furthering his education, Dr. Arena pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from the prestigious Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, expanding his expertise in public health.

His academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, Political Science, and Government from San Diego State University-California State University, showcasing his multidisciplinary knowledge.

Dr. Arena is actively involved in academia, currently serving as an Assistant Professor/Clinical at UT Health San Antonio, where he imparts his medical and public health knowledge to future healthcare professionals.

Prior to his current role, he held the position of EUS Fellow at UT Health San Antonio, refining his skills in emergency ultrasound.

His commitment to emergency medicine is evident from his experience as an Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at St. John's Riverside Hospital, where he played a vital role in patient care.

Dr. Arena has also contributed to research initiatives, having worked as a Research Assistant at the renowned Salk Institute for Biological Studies.

During his undergraduate years, he engaged in valuable research endeavors as an Undergraduate Researcher at SDSU Research Foundation, laying the foundation for his future academic and research pursuits.
