Currently, Alex Wright serves as the Head of UX for the News and Search Ecosystem at Google, a role that demands strategic vision and innovative thinking. Prior to Google, Wright held key positions at Instagram, Etsy, The New York Times, and other renowned organizations, showcasing a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of user-centric design principles.
Before his tenure at Google, Wright worked as the UX Research Director at Instagram, where he honed his expertise in understanding user behavior and translating insights into actionable strategies. His leadership roles at Etsy and The New York Times further highlight his proficiency in driving impactful user experiences across digital platforms. Additionally, Wright has shared his knowledge as a Graduate Faculty member at the School of Visual Arts, enhancing the education and development of future UX professionals.
