Alex Wong is the Research Director at SilverLining, where he leads research initiatives under the Safe Climate Research Initiative. His role involves significant contributions to the organization's science policy efforts aimed at addressing climate risks. Wong has an extensive background in climate research and policy, having previously worked as a consultant for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), focusing on program design and strategy. He also collaborated with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) to fund pioneering global climate model simulations, specifically the Geoengineering Large Ensemble (GLENS) project.12
