Alex Taylor, great-grandson of Governor James M. Cox, is currently serving as the president and chief executive officer of Cox Enterprises- a company that has grown to become a leader in the telecommunications, automotive services and media industries. Taylor has contributed significantly to the company's success with his 20-year career at Cox, holding numerous positions within the organization such as; chief operating officer, senior vice president of field operations for Cox Communications, and executive vice president of Cox Media Group, respectively. His experience in overseeing subsidiaries such as Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, and Cox Media Group has made him a respected leader within the industry.

At Cox Enterprises, Taylor has championed the company's dedication to innovation by expanding residential and commercial connectivity while providing mobility support services for the changing world of automotive travel. He has also invested in emerging healthcare, sustainable farming, and clean energy companies to ensure continued growth for the organization. Taylor is an active conservationist who authored "The Longest Cast: The Fly-Fishing Journey of a Lifetime," with royalties donated to the International Game Fishing Association for the preservation of endangered fishing sanctuaries.

Taylor's commitment to social responsibility is evident in his board memberships in organizations such as Food Well Alliance, Atlanta Committee for Progress, and PATH Foundation. He also serves as a member of the Carter Center Board of Councilors and Vanderbilt Board of Trust.
