Alex Perez
Creative Director, Theater Director, Strategic Communications and Marketing
Alex Perez is an accomplished director of communications with extensive experience in marketing, branding, creative services, and public speaking. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at Menlo School, an independent day school in Atherton, California, he has helped shape the communications organizational structure, served as the creative director for marketing and major fundraising events, and played a key role in the development of the new Menlo School brand and value proposition.
Alex was also part of the capital campaign steering committee that recently raised $62 million. Before his current position, he served as the director of Creative Arts at Menlo School from 2007 to 2017. During his tenure, he oversaw the arts departments for both the Middle and Upper School and helped design the Creative Arts and Design Center Classroom and the Performing Arts Center.
Moreover, Alex has been an active member of the communications and marketing community, serving as the Communications and Marketing track chair for the CASE-NAIS Conference in Chicago and Anaheim in 2011 and 2018, respectively. He has also served as a board member of the CASE District VII and Yellowstone National Park Association.
Besides his professional accomplishments, Alex has made significant contributions to the Bay Area theater community as a performer, director, and choreographer. He received the 2006 Best Directing Award from the Bay Area Theater Critic's Circle for Broadway by the Bay's production of Miss Saigon.
Alex holds a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and a master's degree from the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Acting program.
