Alex McCoy

Alex McCoy, founder and CEO of American Ostrich Farms, has successfully transformed an unconventional meat source into a sustainable and healthy red meat alternative for Americans. After working in investment banking and venture capital, he moved to Africa, where he discovered ostrich meat. McCoy saw the opportunity to introduce a new source of meat that was healthier, sustainable, and required fewer resources to produce than traditional red meats. His company now offers high-quality, healthy ostrich meat that is 97% fat-free and contains more iron than beef, while also being lower in cholesterol. Along with being an accomplished entrepreneur, McCoy holds advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University. When not working, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family in the Idaho mountains.
