Alex Masu

Alex Masu is a highly accomplished individual in the field of investment banking and corporate finance. With a strong educational background, including achieving 7 distinctions from Westville Boys' High and studying BSc. Eng in Mechanical studies at the University of Cape Town, Alex has held executive positions at various prestigious organizations. As the former Director of FIG Investment Banking Africa & Middle East at Standard Chartered Bank, Vice President of FIG Investment Banking (SSA) at Barclays Investment Bank, and the former Investment Banker of Corporate Finance at Rand Merchant Bank, Alex has demonstrated his expertise in mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to his work in investment banking, Alex worked as a Mechanical Engineer at ThyssenKrupp and gained experience in strategy during his time as a Manager of Strategy at Barclays Africa Group Limited. Before that, as a Senior Associate Consultant at Burlington Strategy Advisors, he helped clients tackle complex business problems.

Alex Masu's passion for the field of investment banking and his expertise in corporate finance has led him to become an Executive Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Vodacom. His vast knowledge in the field and extensive professional experience makes him an asset to any organization he works for.
