Alex Kalajian

Alex Kalajian is a seasoned professional serving as the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Solstice Residential Group and its affiliated companies. With over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, he oversees corporate affairs, client retention, operational and capital budgeting/management, organizational growth, and leadership.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Kalajian manages the day-to-day operations of Solstice's extensive portfolio, which encompasses properties valued at over $3 billion. He leads a team of more than 250 management executives, operational and financial professionals, support staff, and building services employees, ensuring top-notch service delivery.

Before co-founding Solstice, Alex Kalajian embarked on his professional journey in 1995 at a mid-sized residential developer. His responsibilities included overseeing 'gut renovations' on projects that led to the sale of LIHTC credits to Fortune 100 companies. He later joined one of NYC's largest property management firms in 2001, working his way up to Vice President of Operations, where he provided vital operational, capital, and code compliance support to property managers.

Drawing on his expertise in property and asset management, Mr. Kalajian is skilled in capital reporting, budgeting, contract negotiations, code compliance, and staff management. Known for his results-driven project management approach, he has successfully directed capital and infrastructure projects exceeding $500 million in value.

Alex Kalajian's academic background is enriched with multiple degrees in Business Administration and Finance. He pursued Construction Management at NYU School of Professional Studies, a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Pace University - Lubin School of Business, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Accounting at The State University of New York.

Currently, he holds the dual role of Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Solstice Residential Group, LLC. Previously, he was the Vice President of Operations at AKAM Associates, Inc., showcasing his ability to excel in key leadership positions within the real estate sector.
