Alex Gelber is a multifaceted artist with a background in doodling and graffiti art, who transitioned into apparel and graphic design within the fashion industry. His work is heavily influenced by surf, skate, punk, hip-hop, and street culture, particularly from Southern California in the 90s and early 2000s. Alex finds inspiration in naiveté and the process of exploration.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art and Design with a Graphics Emphasis, and a minor in Communication Design with a focus on Advertising and Marketing from the University of Southern California.
Throughout his career, Alex Gelber has held various design positions at renowned organizations. He has worked as a Designer at Schaefer Outfitter, as a Graphic, Textile, and Apparel Designer at Tecovas, and as an Apparel Graphic Designer at The North Face, which is part of the VF Company. Additionally, he has contributed as a Graphic Designer in the Art Department at Alexander Wang Inc., as a Digital Designer at Spring Inc., and as a Digital Graphic Designer at Incase. Alex Gelber began his journey in the industry through internships, first in Marketing and Advertising at Paramount Pictures, and later in Design at PUSH Offices.
