Alex serves as the Chief Information Officer at Alarm.com. In this senior executive role, he leads the Cloud Technical Operations and Information Technology teams for Alarm.com and its subsidiaries, supporting all data center infrastructure, public cloud, compliance, and security for Alarm.com's Smart Home as a Service offerings. These services deliver connected home and security services to over 9 million subscribers globally. Additionally, Alex is responsible for the Corporate IT/IS portfolio, which includes defining and executing the IT strategy for all mergers and acquisitions.

As a Vice President of Worldwide Information Systems, his primary focus was to oversee MicroStrategy's IT applications, data centers and infrastructure across all of the company’s business units globally. He also managed the technical operations, architecture and engineering of MicroStrategy’s Private and Public Clouds. Mr. Freixas' background includes 20 years of industry experience with roles in IT Operations and Data Center Management, Virtualization, Database Management, Enterprise Software and Application Development and Technology Alliances.

 Mr. Freixas was a member of Teradata's Software Alliances Board (2009-2011) and currently holds a seat at VMware's Executive Customer Advisory Board (2013-2015).
