Alex Freixas

Alex Freixas is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Alarm.com, a position he has held since April 2023. He is based in the Washington DC-Baltimore Area and oversees the Cloud Technical Operations and Information Technology teams for the company and its subsidiaries. His responsibilities include managing all data center infrastructure, public cloud services, compliance, and security related to Alarm.com's Smart Home as a Service offerings, which serve over 9 million subscribers globally. Additionally, he defines and executes IT strategies for mergers and acquisitions within the organization.12

Freixas has over 25 years of experience in the information technology sector, demonstrating a strong track record in driving innovation and transformation. Before becoming CIO, he served as Vice President of Systems at Alarm.com from April 2014 to March 2023. His previous roles also include significant positions at MicroStrategy, where he was responsible for overseeing IT applications and infrastructure on a global scale.123

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, completed in 1994. Freixas is proficient in both English and Spanish, reflecting his diverse background.23
