Alex Bwaluka

Alex Bwaluka is a Zambian development professional on a mission to support vulnerable children and youth. Born to a teenage mother and abandoned by his father, he became determined to rise above his circumstances and support himself through school. Alex successfully graduated with a diploma in Social Work from the University of Zambia and went on to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies from Zambian Open University. His tenacity and empathy led to the founding of the Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) in 2005.

With CCCYD, Alex has been committed to training and empowering women, orphan caregivers, and youths by providing basic education, vocational training, and micro-enterprise skills. The organization has helped over 500 orphan caregivers and youth, and established a school providing education to over 441 orphans and vulnerable children. Alex has also served as the Country Manager for Good Deeds Day - Zambia and National Director for Zambia at Planet Startup, Inc. He was also the Executive Director at CCCYD and held various roles at Municipal Councils in Mongu and Solwezi.

Alex's experience in community development, leadership, and social justice has made him a role model in his community, with much of his work focused on creating opportunities for children, women, and the vulnerable. He believes that every child should have access to education, irrespective of their social and economic background. His commitment to this pursuit is unwavering, and he is open to creating partnerships with organizations that share his vision.
