The Global eCommerce division of Walmart Stores, Inc. was created in 2010 with the mission to lead all mobile and online initiatives, and provide strategic, operating and technical leverage across all of Walmart's consumer platforms. 

My role focused on the M&A aspects of broader business development activities for the Global eCommerce group.
 + Evaluated multiple potential acquisition targets and reviewed with senior management.
 + Acquired Kosmix to build Walmart's capabilities in social commerce.

Executed broad range of operational and administrative activities in concert with more classic strategy & business development role.

+ Operations
   * Built infrastructure elements enabling 6x workforce scaling (both increase and reduction) to support growth in seasonal sales;. 
   * Supervised staff of 100+ design associates and customer support personnel;
   * Coordinated resource planning to support 5x year-over-year increase in holiday sales;
   * Optimized shipping logistics to drive significant cost/performance improvements.
+ Strategy/BD:  
   * Refined storefront entry strategy; led project to expand wedding offering;
   * Negotiated multiple relationships with designers, printers, and 3rd party providers 
+ Finance/Admin: 
    * Evaluated, negotiated, and executed debt financing; 
    * Executed follow-on equity financing.
    * Coordinated organizational restructuring and other HR activities.

VP, Strategy & Business Development

Fidex (www.fidex.com) was a hosted, direct lending solution designed to drive more profitable and cost-effective new customer acquisition through the largest online auto channels, or through a lender's existing website. 

Drove Fidex's major distribution partnerships, engaged in capital raising activities, and collaborated in pursuing multiple alternative strategies designed to leverage transformative technology platform.

+ Negotiated and executed proof of concept rollout with eBay Motors
+ Led negotiations with Yahoo Autos, Cars.com, and pipeline of smaller distribution partners

Fidex

Led multifunctional teams in acquisition, investment, joint venture, and other strategic initiatives, often in an international context. Executed over 15 M&A transactions representing more than $1B in value. Evaluated opportunities and presented to senior management and board of directors. Collaborated in developing, evangelizing, and implementing corporate development process, as well as in building team.

Earlier roles at company included Business Development Counsel, Director of Business Development, and Director of Corporate Development.

In business development role, negotiated over $100M worth of distribution and partnership deals with AOL, Disney, AutoTrade.com, E-Stamp, iPIX, iShip, Kodak, Keen.com, and 40+ other marketing relationships to drive traffic and revenue.

Advised a broad array of information technology clients in technology transactions and general business matters. 

Clients ranged from single-person startups to large multi-nationals like Adobe. Representation focused primarily on commercial transactions and technology licensing, but also included significant participation in M&A projects, and several antitrust activities.
