Alev Canoglu

Alev Canoglu is a talented and driven professional with a strong background in product management and a passion for solving complex problems that impact humanity and the climate.

Alev holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

During her academic journey, Alev founded Female Tech Leaders, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the gender ratio in STEM, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Through various initiatives like programming courses, workshops, networking events, and startup programs, FTL has reached tens of thousands of people worldwide.

With eight years of experience in product management, Alev has held key positions at renowned companies like Planet, AutoScout24, Freeletics, Microsoft, and Siemens. Her roles have ranged from Senior Product Manager to Technical Product Manager in cybersecurity.

Alev is deeply involved in sharing her product management expertise and knowledge with both new and seasoned PMs, fostering discussions on product sense, discovery, and go-to-market strategies. She values mentorship and collaboration in the PM community.

Managing and growing a team of 40+ volunteers at FTL has provided Alev with valuable insights into scaling a small team into a functional organization, practicing servant leadership, and fostering a positive team culture.
