Alethea Beetson

Alethea Beetson is a Kabi Kabi + Wiradjuri artist and producer based in Brisbane, dedicated to decolonisation, cultural resurgence, and ancestral connection.

With a diverse educational background that includes a Senior Certificate from Downlands College, a Research Doctorate in Creative Industries from QUT, and a Bachelor's degree in Drama/Theatre/Education from Queensland University of Technology, Alethea combines academic knowledge with real-world experience.

Her professional journey includes key roles such as being the Artistic Director at Digi Youth Arts and having past positions such as First Nations Producer at Horizon Festival and BIGSOUND. Additionally, she has contributed as Indigenous Engagement Coordinator at Queensland Museum Network, Indigenous Program Coordinator at Brisbane Boys' College, Indigenous Support Teacher at Brisbane Boys' College, and Drama and Humanities Teacher at Vilanova College.
