Alessio Ballesio is an experienced strategic advisor and product manager with a strong background in developing and executing comprehensive, fact-based growth strategies. Alessio has demonstrated expertise in horizon scanning, evaluating the current context, breaking down complex information into actionable insights, and distilling key messages for senior-level decision makers. He is proficient in articulating value propositions and tailoring stories to the audience, as well as developing and coordinating the execution of plans across cross-functional teams.
Alessio has a diverse background that includes leadership roles at Mastercard, a global payments company. As Vice President of Strategy and Business Model Development, he led analysis underpinning organizational responses that influenced European legislation towards fairer provision. He also designed and led an innovative evaluation methodology to analyze market potential for an international card scheme looking to expand its European business. Previous to his experience at Mastercard, Alessio was a Manager, Associate and Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst at the consulting firm A.T. Kearney. Before embarking on a career in business, he was a Navy Officer in the Italian Navy.
Alessio holds an MBA in Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma.
