Alessandro Nasini
Design Thinker, Designer, Technologist, Builder, Educator.
Alessandro Nasini is an innovative design thinker, entrepreneur, and maker with extensive expertise in designing processes, services, and products for companies and organizations of all sizes and sectors, ranging from small publishing houses to central public administrations. He is a pioneer and early adopter in the digital and hi-tech industries, and has worked with some of the largest international ICT companies as an evangelist, system engineer, and trainer.
Since 1992, Alessandro has been the co-founder and CEO of Maple, a design and consultancy firm for innovation. He was also the co-founder of The Hub Roma, a node of the international network of spaces for social innovation in Rome. He serves as a mentor and advisor for several Italian startups, and he is the founder of Startalia.com, a design-driven startup foundry, and Foodendi.com, a food-agri-tech startup foundry.
Alessandro is also the co-founder and vice president of Roma Startup, an association that brings together the leading public and private actors in the Roman startup ecosystem, with a focus on media and communication. He is passionate about outdoor activities such as trekking and off-road driving and has founded and chaired one of the largest Italian monobrand clubs for more than fifteen years. He is also a food explorer and blogger, with a significant interest in cuisine.
Alessandro studied engineering and architecture at La Sapienza Università di Roma, and he attended the Liceo Classico Gaetano De Sanctis and Liceo Classico Tito Lucrezio Caro. Before being a part of various organizations such as Venture School, FOODENDI, BC Agrifood Roma, and Jobalchemy.com, just to name a few, he was also an adjunct professor for business strategy and service design in different universities.
