Alessandro (Cirpo) Cinelli

Alessandro Cinelli is a veteran Engineering Manager with over fifteen years of experience building powerful web applications, leading and managing teams, and utilizing different programming languages and technologies. As a former Unix sysadmin, Alessandro's corporate experiences with leading banking and insurance companies have provided him with extensive expertise in working with various programming languages like Java, PHP, and JavaScript to execute web-based businesses and startups.

Through his years of actively building engineering teams that deliver high-performing products that solve tangible business needs, Aleesandro has a track record of setting up developers' groups and communities to discuss and share the latest advancements in web technologies. He is a well-known speaker, having delivered around 40 presentations at international web conferences and meetups, and is an active board member of the Italian PHP, JavaScript User Group, WEBdeBS, WEBdeLDN.

Currently, Alessandro is Head of Engineering-DX (Developer Experience) at DAZN Group, where he leads teams through coaching and mentoring while fostering a safe, inclusive, challenging, and healthy work environment. He was a former DX Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager at DAZN, Lead Developer at Sainsbury's, Advisory Board Member at Codemotion, and Head of Backend Engineering at Namshi.com, among others.
