    Alessandro Bongioanni is a postdoctoral researcher based at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN) at the University of Oxford, where he collaborates with Professor Matthew Rushworth. Alessandro's current research focuses on the neural mechanisms underpinning value-based decision-making, comparative neuroscience in human and non-human primates, inference and neural representations, and the impact of motivation on decision-making processes. His expertise also includes exploring learning mechanisms beyond reinforcement learning using a variety of neuroscientific methods such as functional MRI and transcranial ultrasound stimulation, coupled with computational modeling. Alessandro holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree in Cognitive Science from UCL, a Master's degree in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from Ecole normale supérieure, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Università degli Studi di Torino.
