Aleksandra Buljancevic-Hagy is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience leading and managing change, accelerating speed-to-market, and transforming service delivery at both start-up and Fortune-500 environments. With a Master of Science in Management of IT from McIntire School of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature and Bio-medical Ethics from the University of Virginia, Buljancevic-Hagy has built and managed global teams of 80+, provided strategic lifecycle oversight of multimillion-dollar enterprise portfolios, and transformed 130+ teams from legacy waterfall methodologies to Scrum.
Buljancevic-Hagy's career progression is highlighted by her foundational experience as a senior management analyst at Bearing Point/KPMG Consulting, followed by her start-up project management role at Expression Networks LLC, and subsequently her business development and product marketing positions at SNL Financial. Buljancevic-Hagy also evolved and matured the project management organization at SNL Financial, establishing and developing 10+ captive project teams in Ahmadabad, India, and Islamabad, Pakistan.
As S&P Market Intelligence acquired SNL for $2.2B in 2015, Buljancevic-Hagy integrated SNL’s prioritization model and Agile culture into S&P, transforming the larger parent organization and capturing a 30% lift in development capacity as a direct report to the COO/CTO. She also headlined the role of Head of Product globally for S&P’s digital transformation, where she drove technical strategy and change planning to migrate from PaaS on AWS cloud.
Buljancevic-Hagy prides herself on being a strong leader and influential communicator who connects the dots for non-technical stakeholders, removes ambiguity from complex IT/business challenges, and fosters innovation through platform development and culture building. She is passionate about advancing the careers of women in STEM and runs daily in her spare time.
