Dr. Aleksandar Dusic, MD, MSc, is an Associate Professor at Saint James School of Medicine, specializing in Physiology, Medical Ethics, and Behavior Science.
He holds a Doctor of Medicine MD degree from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and completed his Clinical internship at the Medical Center 'Dr. Simo Milosevic' in Belgrade.
With extensive experience as a General Practitioner - Hospitalist at the Special Hospital for cerebrovascular disorders 'St. Sava' in Belgrade, Dr. Dusic furthered his expertise through an Oncology Research Fellowship at the Medical Center 'Bezanijska Kosa'.
His academic journey includes a Masters Degree in Oncoepidemiology from the University of Belgrade and a Certificate in Clinical Research from the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Dusic has been actively involved in medical education, joining Saint James School of Medicine in Park Ridge, IL, USA, as an Assistant Professor in 2008 before assuming the role of Associate Professor on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
He is dedicated to mentoring medical students on various research projects ranging from AIDS epidemiology to the impact of music on autonomic functions.
Dr. Dusic's areas of interest include studies on AIDS epidemiology, cardiovascular disorders, diet impact on diabetes, stress effects on addictive behaviors, vision disorders, color-memory correlation, music influence on autonomic functions, patient compliance, and cyberchondriasis.
Throughout his career, Dr. Dusic has demonstrated a commitment to medical excellence, holding certifications such as ECFMG and licenses for medical practice in Serbia.
He continues to contribute to the field through his role as an Associate Professor, focusing on teaching Physiology and Behavior Science while enriching student experiences through research and active learning initiatives.
