Alejandro de Gac
CEO & Founder at Springboard Collaborative
Alejandro Gibes de Gac is an entrepreneur and educator who founded Springboard Collaborative in 2011 to close the literacy gap by bridging the gap between home and school.13 He immigrated to the US with his family at age 7, seeking educational opportunities.4 After graduating from Harvard University, he joined Teach For America and became a first-grade teacher in Philadelphia.13
Frustrated with the school system's treatment of marginalized parents, Gibes de Gac founded Springboard Collaborative to help teachers and parents collaborate to improve reading outcomes for students.2 The organization has since helped over 35,000 students across the country.2
In addition to Springboard Collaborative, Gibes de Gac recently co-founded Paloma, an edtech startup that uses AI to help parents engage in their children's education.12 He continues to serve as CEO of both companies.1
