Alejandro Bernaola is a seasoned professional with two decades of experience in the field of developing innovation ecosystems, particularly in the agricultural sector in Peru and the Dominican Republic. He has served as the Director General of Innovation, Transfer Technology, and Business Services at the Ministry of Production and worked for the Division of Innovation at the Inter-American Development Bank. Bernaola is currently the Gerente de Alianzas (Alliance Manager) at ACM Ventures, an Agtech accelerator, and a partner at Investa Venture Builder. He is an economist by education with a Master's in Marketing and Business Management from Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru.
Throughout his career, Bernaola has developed a comprehensive understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, and needs of the agricultural sector. He has worked in various capacities in both the public and private sectors, including the Instituto Nacional de Investigacion Agraria (National Institute of Agricultural Research) as an economist, and Investa Peru as the General Manager and co-founder. As a result, his experience has given him a unique perspective on the industry's potential for innovation and development.
