Alegra Wolter

Alegra Wolter is a public health doctor and advocate who has held various roles in healthcare and advocacy organizations.1 She worked as the Partnership Manager at Docquity from March 2020 to December 2021, where she was responsible for initiating collaborations with medical associations and healthcare facilities.1 During her tenure, Docquity's membership grew from 90,000 to over 150,000 doctors.1

After her role as Partnership Manager, Alegra became the Head of Partnerships - Engagement at Docquity from January 2022 to December 2022.1 In this position, she led a team of 2-4 people and managed collaborations with over 50 partner institutions.1

Alegra is also a general practitioner at Angsamerah Clinic, where she provides clinical and psychosocial support to gender-diverse individuals and their families.1 She serves as the advisory board chair for Suara Kita, an NGO promoting the rights of LGBTIQ+ individuals in Indonesia.1

In addition to her work in healthcare, Alegra is an advocate for gender equality, health, human rights, and social inclusion.1 She has worked with organizations such as WHO Indonesia, focusing on mainstreaming gender, equity, and human rights principles into national health programs.1

Alegra obtained her doctorate in medicine from Atma Jaya Catholic University in 2018.2 She is known for being an openly transgender doctor and has spoken about how finding herself has made her a better healthcare professional.2
