Aleem Israel is an award-winning executive with over 22 years of experience in the finance industry, transitioning from sell-side Equity Analyst to buy-side Hedge Fund Manager.

During his tenure on the sell-side, Aleem excelled in analyzing financial statements across diverse industries to provide valuable insights to institutional investors, earning recognition for his investment ideas and analysis quality.

Transitioning to the buy-side after the 2009 financial crisis, Aleem founded AFINA as a hedge fund manager, focusing on providing personalized wealth management services to clients through segregated model portfolios.

In addition to his work at AFINA, Aleem expanded into the US real estate market in 2012, capitalizing on opportunities presented by the post-crisis landscape to invest in US residential properties, achieving significant returns upon exiting the business in 2020.

Aleem's diverse experience also includes lending his executive leadership as an interim CFO to a healthcare SaaS company, where he implemented improvements in accounting systems and business processes to facilitate funding arrangements with prominent institutions such as the BDC and NRC-IRAP.
