Alec Carton, an Indigenous First Nations and African person from Saskatchewan and Ethiopia, is committed to promoting the revival of Indigenous ceremonies, languages, and ancestral ways of living. Through Tâtaga Inc., his consulting company, Alec aims to achieve Indigenous prosperity and well-being across Turtle Island, Denendeh, and Inuit Nunangat through the advancement of Indigenous economic world views and the sharing of ancestral teachings. Tâtaga's relationship-centric approach draws from the knowledge and experience of Indigenous knowledge keepers, content experts, Elders, and community members. Alec holds a diploma in Business Administration from Bow Valley College, a Canadian Securities Institute Certificate in Investment Funds, and completed courses in Indigenous Studies at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Alec's previous roles include Manager of Relationships at Social Awareness Group, Local and Indigenous Content Intern at Chevron, and Indigenous Advisor (contract) at Calgary Public Library.
