Alayne Hynes

Alayne Hynes is the Director, Data & Advanced Technologies at Communitech, where she leads the Data & Advanced Technologies team in transforming companies through the power of data.

With a background in Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Alayne brings a unique perspective to her role.

Prior to her current position, Alayne held various roles at Communitech including Director of Strategic Initiatives and Sr. Talent Program Manager, showcasing her expertise in talent development and strategic planning.

Alayne also has experience working at Deloitte, Business & Education Partnership of Waterloo Region, and DBM Systems Inc, where she honed her skills in business development, education partnerships, and sales & marketing coordination.

Passionate about supporting companies to lead with data, Alayne welcomes visitors to the Communitech Data Hub in Waterloo to explore opportunities for innovation.
