Alayna Tetreault-Rooney

Alayna Tetreault-Rooney is an accomplished professional with fifteen years of experience in development. She has a deep expertise in citizen security, social protection, post-conflict and fragile states, monitoring and evaluation, and strategy. Ms. Tetreault-Rooney has a Master of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on International Development and a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Crises from Georgetown University. She also holds a B.A. in International Relations from The College of William and Mary.

Throughout her career, Ms. Tetreault-Rooney has held key roles at prestigious organizations such as USAID and the Inter-American Development Bank. She has served as a Senior Violence Prevention Advisor at USAID, as well as in various consulting and research positions focusing on citizen security, justice sector reform, community strengthening, and social protection.

With a proven track record in project design, implementation, and evaluation, Ms. Tetreault-Rooney excels in solving complex problems. Her strong analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities, enable her to advocate for evidence-based solutions effectively. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in French, she thrives in culturally diverse settings, bringing a global perspective to her work.
