Alastair Merrett

Alastair Merrett is an accomplished Human-Centered Designer and Education Facilitator with a background in the higher education sector.

Alastair excels in various skills including Public Speaking, Time Management, Event Planning, User-centered Design, and Microsoft Office.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sustainable Design with minors in Sociology, Informatics, and Art & Design, alongside holding a Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Alastair studied at Macomb Junior/Senior High School and is currently a Junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His professional experience includes roles as a Design Researcher at the Siebel Center for Design, Content Writer at CollegeVine, and Molecular and Cellular Biology Instructional Staff at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Furthermore, Alastair has contributed his skills as a Drummer at the façades, Summer Lunch Program Coordinator at United Way, Drum Instructor at Macomb Senior High School, Percussionist in Macomb's Municipal Band, and Lead Facilitator at the Horn Field Campus at Western Illinois University.
