Alasdair Townsend

Alasdair Townsend is a successful entrepreneur, strategist, and business executive with extensive expertise in public relations, marketing, and communications. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Sherlock Communications, a top-rated communications consultancy firm that provides professional counsel and strategy development services to businesses operating in Latin America, including Brazil.

Townsend holds a BA Hons 2:1 degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, which he earned before commencing his professional career. He has previously worked in several notable organizations, including Eulogy (Onlinefire), Diffusion, Hotwire, and Mantra PR (now part of Speed).

Before establishing Sherlock Communications, Townsend served as the Divisional Head of Digital and Marketing Services Practices at Diffusion, and the Director of Business Strategy & Development at Eulogy (Onlinefire). Additionally, he worked as a Senior Programme Executive at Hotwire and an Account Executive at Mantra PR.

Notably, Townsend is an ex-Social Media Council Member of the DMA UK, exhibiting his broad skill set within the field of marketing and public relations. He also previously served as a Social Media and Content Consultant for Hiscox, a global provider of insurance and business services.
