Alan Palmer

Alan Palmer, also known as Millionplus, brings nearly two decades of expertise in policy development and advocacy to his roles. His experience spans project management, policy advice, data analysis, event organization, diary management, public communication, and consultation.

Alan has a strong background in drafting high-level papers and briefings for senior management, directors, and government officials. He is adept at creating documents for public distribution, clarifying policy decisions, and fostering engagement through consultations. He excels in managing a diverse array of events, from stakeholder meetings to public debates.

Educationally, Alan pursued a PG Dip in International Relations and Security Studies from the University of Southampton, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in History and Government with a 2:1 from the University of Essex.

Currently, Alan serves as the Head of Policy and Research at MillionPlus, The Association for Modern Universities. Prior to this role, he held positions as a Senior Policy Adviser at the British Academy, a Policy Adviser at the Higher Education Funding Council for England, and an Executive Adviser at CfBT.
