Alan Lieber is a results-oriented healthcare leader and innovator with a strong background in hospital administration, finance, and operations research. He has been the President of Overlook Medical Center (OMC) since 2003, overseeing an emerging Integrated Delivery System catering to 600,000 individuals in New Jersey. Under his leadership, Overlook has achieved recognition as a Top 100 Hospital in the US and as one of Fortune's 100 Best Places to Work For. Overlook Medical Center, along with Atlantic Health System (AHS), is a renowned healthcare partner in the Optimus ACO, consistently earning Medicare shared savings since 2012.
He has played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of innovation at Overlook, with notable achievements including the development of the Insulin Safety Device (ISSI box) and the launch of a 3D Printing Program. The institution has introduced various groundbreaking clinical devices and technologies, such as being the first to treat a patient with Siemen's Magnetom Vida 3T MRI with AI in the US and implementing advanced equipment like the Cyberknife and 320 slice CT scanner. Additionally, Overlook has been involved in CMS gainsharing projects, founded multiple ACOs, and served as a development site for healthcare software solutions.
