Akshay Sugandi

Akshay Sugandi is a recent graduate from the MSc in Financial Analysis program at London Business School and currently serves as an Equity Research Analyst at Macquarie Group.

With a primary interest in long-term fundamental investing, Akshay has excelled in various initiatives during his time at LBS, such as being selected for the Value Investing elective and achieving a final grade of A, and being a finalist in prestigious competitions like the Van Berkom JMSB Case Competition and the LBS Summer 2019 Stock Pitch Competition.

Prior to his current role at Macquarie, Akshay gained valuable experience as an Investment Banking Associate at Anugra Capital, where he worked on live M&A, debt restructuring, and asset valuation deals. He also has extensive experience in equity research, having worked at Sucor Sekuritas and Trimegah Securities, covering sectors like energy and textiles.

Akshay is an analytical problem solver with expertise in valuation and financial modeling. His genuine passion for the stock market drives his continuous learning about various sectors and current affairs in capital markets. With an extroverted nature, he enjoys connecting with individuals from different industries to gather insights and build relationships.

Akshay's educational background includes a Master of Science in Financial Analysis from LBS, a BA (Hons) in Global Financial Management from Regent's University London, and completion of the International Baccalaureate program at Indus International School in Bangalore, India.

His professional experience extends beyond Macquarie Group, having previously held positions at organizations like Anugra Capital, Redington, Sucor, Trimegah Securities, Monex Investindo Futures, and Uber.
