Akihiko Nakashima, also known as Naka, is a dedicated individual with a strong passion for making the world more connected through education and creating hope for the future.

With a diverse career history starting from Societe General Bank in 1989 to roles at Credit Suisse, Bank of America, HSBC Midland Bank, and eventually Vice President of Currency Options Sales at Goldman Sachs, Naka has a wealth of experience in the financial industry.

Transitioning into social entrepreneurship and angel investing, Naka founded 'Water Projects in Hokkaido' in 2016, aiming to bridge gaps between abundance and scarcity in areas like water, food, energy, and education to contribute to a more peaceful world.

Naka emphasizes the importance of wisdom, empathy, and compassion in driving positive change and believes that addressing core issues like water, food, and education will lead to a better world with reduced conflicts.

He is associated with several organizations, including Office Naka, where he serves as a Social Entrepreneur and Angel Investor focusing on water, food, energy, and education initiatives.

As a Co-Founder of e-Hope LLC since October 2018, Naka continues his commitment to creating positive impacts through projects centered on hope and education.

Naka holds qualifications such as a Psychology of Vision Certificate, Certification for Environmental Specialists, an English Tour Guide License, and has completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Program.

His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs and Cross-Cultural Communications from The University of Kita-Kyushu and additional studies in Blockchain Strategy at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
