Ajay Kela

Ajay Kela is a seasoned leader with a strong background in scaling businesses and promoting entrepreneurship and skilling initiatives globally. He studied Mechanical Engineering and Computational Geometry at the University of Rochester, where he earned his Ph.D. degree, and also holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Ajay has served in a variety of roles across several organizations, including Wadhwani Foundation, where he currently serves as President and CEO, Symphony Services, where he was COO and Managing Director, and Autodesk, where he was the GM of the AutoCAD Division. His Ph.D. research on 3D modeling led to two successful commercial products at GE-Calma and Autodesk.

With over ten years of experience scaling entrepreneurial and skilling initiatives to twenty countries as the CEO of Wadhwani Foundation, Ajay has become an expert in global business expansion. Additionally, his time at Symphony Services, where he scaled the business from a startup to $175M in six years with an acquisition exit of $780M, gives him a wealth of experience in building and scaling successful businesses. At Autodesk, where he was the GM for the AutoCAD division, he helped scale the business from $170M to $850M over ten years.
