AJ Poole, CIAM, is an individual who has always been recognized for his passion and curiosity in technology from a young age, eventually leading him to pursue a degree in Information Systems. His journey in the technology field expanded when he discovered his interest in Information Security, obtaining certifications such as Net+ and Sec+. With over 4 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), AJ has found fulfillment and growth in this area.

Outside of the tech world, AJ is an enthusiastic athlete with a background in varsity basketball and collegiate soccer. Known for his positive outlook and dedication to helping others, AJ values creating a harmonious environment and believes in the importance of hard work and treating others with respect. As a Seventh-Day Adventist, these values hold significant importance in his life.

AJ's specialties include LDAP, MFA, PowerShell, SSO, RBAC, PAM, Entitlement/Certification Management, and Agile methodologies. He is proficient in tools such as Active Directory, SailPoint IIQ, Okta, Duo Security, Service Now, and Jira. His educational background includes a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Information Systems from Andrews University.

In terms of professional experience, AJ has held the position of Senior Associate in Identity and Access Management Systems at OCC. Prior to this role, he gained experience as a Security Administrator Intern at OCC, an IT Support Technician at GreenEcho, LLC, a Help Desk Technician at Andrews University, and an Admissions Assistant while at Andrews University. With a continuous drive for self-improvement and knowledge expansion, AJ is always seeking new challenges and opportunities for growth.
