Ailee Katz

Ailee Katz is a highly educated individual with a diverse background in law, economics, and political science. Katz pursued a J.D. Candidate at Columbia Law School, complementing her Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Political Science from Barnard College and Columbia University in the City of New York. She also enriched her academic profile through a study abroad program that focused on Economics and Political Science at UCL.

Katz has gained valuable experience through various roles in legal and financial sectors. She served as a Legal Extern at the Center for Appellate Litigation and held Legal Intern positions at the New Hampshire Public Defender, Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, Federal Public Defender, and the Committee for Public Counsel Services. Prior to her legal roles, she worked as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant at Messing, Rudavsky & Weliky, P.C.

Beyond the legal field, Katz ventured into the financial domain, working as an Investment Banking Analyst and a Summer Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She also contributed to sustainable finance and developmental initiatives through a role at Principles for Responsible Investment, focusing on Investor Engagements with the United Nations Global Compact. Katz's commitment to social causes is evident from her Development Internship at the Friends of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site and her engagement as a Research and Events Intern at Barnard College's Athena Center for Leadership Studies.
