Ahmed Farooq

Ahmed Farooq is a highly motivated individual with a background in finance, accounting, and business. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting at York University and holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Finance from Seneca College.

With a strong educational foundation, Ahmed has gained valuable work experience at various reputable organizations. He served as a Project Accounting Specialist Intern at Hydro One, where he was also involved in leading finance and co-op committees. Prior to that, he worked as a Procurement Analyst Co-op at CIBC, ensuring adherence to policies for internal client technology requests. Additionally, he gained experience as a Fund Accountant Co-op at The Investment Administration Solution, handling fund reconciliation and NAV calculations.

In addition to his finance and accounting roles, Ahmed has showcased his versatility by working as a Brand Ambassador for Mosaic Sales Solutions. He has represented multiple clients including Samsung, HP, and Rogers, demonstrating his interpersonal and promotional skills.

Committed to continuous growth and professional development, Ahmed is currently pursuing CPA certification and furthering his education at York University. He was also actively involved in the Atkinson Professional Accounting Association as the Director of Marketing for the 2017-2018 term.
