Alongside his professional ventures, Afraj's interests in human flight and exploration led him to become a pilot at the young age of 17, receiving his wings from the Chief of Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces. Committed to community service, he has been honored with the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers. His dedication to uplifting projects that contribute to societal progress showcases his altruistic nature and willingness to make a positive impact.

Afraj Gill holds a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honors from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, reflecting his strong academic foundation. He has held key roles in reputable organizations, including Director of Product, Strategy & Innovation at RBC Ventures and Co-Founder & GM of Strategy and Business Development at Drop Mobility. Additionally, he has served in various capacities at esteemed institutions such as Google, The Globe and Mail, and Queen's University, showcasing his diverse skill set and versatile experience in product development, strategy, marketing, and operations.
