Eelke Wielinga is a highly experienced expert with a PhD focusing on the dynamics of networks surrounding initiatives and innovations.

With 43 years of professional experience across various regions including The Netherlands, Europe, and developing countries, he has developed the FAN approach (Free Actors in Networks) which treats networks as living entities that can generate energy and facilitate change.

His educational background includes studies in nutrition, extension, and communication at Wageningen University & Research, as well as certification as a facilitator in organization constellations from the Bert Hellinger Institute in Groningen, The Netherlands.

Eelke Wielinga has worked with prestigious organizations such as Scriptum as a Book Author, ZLTO as an In-house consultant, Netwerk&C as a developer and facilitator, IFSA network as a scientist, and LINK Consult as an independent professional and owner.

His career has seen him hold roles as a researcher, facilitator, and trainer with a focus on network dynamics at various institutions, including Wageningen Academy, MDF: Management for Development Foundation, and Wageningen University and Research.

Eelke Wielinga has also been involved in political and advisory roles, having been a member of D66, the Dutch Democratic Party, serving as the Chief Technical Advisor at ITCPH Philippines, and working as a public servant at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature management, and Fisheries in The Hague.

Additionally, he has contributed his expertise as a trainer at ICRE course Wageningen, a researcher and teacher of extension science at Faculté des Sciences Agronomiques in Bénin, and a trainer at ITV Wageningen.
