Purpose and function are the most important elements to any creative project. I help individuals and businesses to diagnose, strategise and deliver content that engages, informs and inspires action.

Fusing design thinking with business strategy, I work across creative disciplines translating ideas into Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography, Film and Motion Graphics. Additionally, I have an immense passion for helping others do the same, as a Lecturer and Mentor at Bath Spa University and Paper Arts CIC.

It is the ability to engage with people that drives me. I am fortunate enough to have collaborated with some great minds: Directors, CEO's, Project Managers, Artists, Designers and business owners. I look forward to many more.

History:

Minirig sprung out of Bristol's vibrant soundsystem culture and continue to innovate as one of the cities pioneering businesses, with an international reach. Minirig collaborate with an array of UK festivals, artists, musicians and charities with research and development projects alongside Bristol UWE (University). Minirig proudly offer 'great British engineering' in their speaker / subwoofer range, focussing on beautiful sound, quality, environmentally conscious product. This approach has earned 500+ five star reviews on Amazon and a passionate, engaging customer base.

I am currently working directly with the Directors and Web Designers on developing all aspects of their product aesthetics, design and branding to ensure a consistent, high level of messaging throughout web and printed material.

Style & Vision is our mantra. We believe in a style unique to Kiteboarders, with a vision to help save the planet.  Garments, prints and canvas are embellished with our unique style, with the addition of one-off products, limited editions and monthly giveaways.

We have over 10 years working experience within the creative industry and provide bespoke design services to the Kiteboarding industry and beyond.

Working directly with the 3rd year students providing proffessional advice and practical insight into the theoretical and technological challenges of calving and maintaining a career within the creative industry.


My main purpose in this role is to provide tailored, relevant advice to each student for personal development within their chosen specialism. I structure personalised goals and achievements through action plans, further learning and creative industry insight.


My aim is help cultivate confidence, in thier own ability, realise goals and potential obstacles in becoming financially sustainable within their chosen industry. I achieve this by giving insight into the operational / logistical requirements, creative processes and business principles relevant to a practicing freelance / employed creative. I focus my sessions on providing the students with valuable, practical / theoretical resources and case studies, through my extensive experience across Graphic Design, Fine Art, Photography and Film.

Bath Spa University

Guest Lecturer and Student Mentor

Professional Practice guest lecturer for 3rd year students studying Film, Illustration and Graphic Design at Bath Spa University.

In this series of lectures I provide practical and theoretical insight into the world of a freelance artist, graphic designer and photographer / film maker. My presentation was entitled 'Working Backwards' and gave insight into client-led approach to the creative process: research principles, technical resources, administrative practices, logistical planning and how to tackle creative block.

In addition to the lectures, I provided one-to-one workshops with student on Adobe Indesign in preparation for their final year showcase with plans to expand on my offerings for next years students.

Visiting Lecturer

Amaroo Media provide a bespoke and comprehensively strategised sales and marketing service. Each departmental specialist ensures that their input is in line with three key aims: To increase the number of relevant enquiries through digital consultancy and outbound sales channels; meticulous digital management; and award winning design and execution.

It was a privilege to work for the great people at LARGE Creative, Nottingham. LARGE are a group of architects & designers creating installations for corporate events. I was tasked with documenting a variety of venue designs created by LARGE.


The pretence was to document LARGE's designs through a more artistic style of photography than commonly seen in the events genre. These projects were fun, varied and challenging. A perfect combination.
