Beginning by researching the existing landscape to better understand the university with a cross disciplinary leadership circle of 10 fellows. Working for clients such Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority, Northern Virginia Community Colleges, Fairfax County Public Schools, MGM I;In the FieldInspected construction material contractors placed met project specification and was properly placed with the use of various testing and measuring methods. Such as checking air & water content, temperature of material, batch-to-placement time and making specimens for  testing in lab. Reporting directly to P.E. Project Manager through the completion of detailed daily field data reports.At the office I performed specimen maximum load tests to confirm the strength of the material met project specs and was complaisant  with all ASTM standards.Overall, this internship allowed me to work under a professional engineer and shadow project managers who performed business development calls,proposed bids and ensured all the services the client requested were met. I also got to shadow more senior inspectors and engineers on job sites while interacting with a multitude of general contractors, sub contractors and agencies to have a better understanding of how different sized projects; commercial or government; came together.
